The nearest bus stop is "GLOUCESTER GREEN" Bus Station, the last bus stop. St. John's is about 300 to 400 meters, on ST. GILES street, though not straight. After getting off the bus, 1) you go toward NORTH (although difficult to know the direction: the bus stops towards South, I believe), cross an open market and through a small street, to the "BEAUMONT STREET" 2) then turn RIGHT towards EAST and in 100 m you hit the corner of "ST. GILES" where a church and a tower are. 3) cross the ST. GILES, and towards Physics Department, and about 50 m, you see the walls of St. John's in the right-hand side. In the daytime, it should not be too difficult to find the gate because the large gate is open. (In the night, not easy because the large and small gates are closed and you don't know which gate is the right one...) In the airport, two choices: the largest bus stop is "CENTRAL BUS STATION" which is near the terminal 1,2,3; the other is "TERMINAL 4". Last time we took "CENTRAL BUS STATION". I have never taken "TERMINAL 4" bus stop. (JAL 401) arrives the same temrminal, 3. I have reserved a Fellows Guest Room at St John's College > for Sandra Ciocio. The cost of the room including breakfast > will be approximately pounds 16.43 for the one night (Sunday 26 > September). > Please could Sandra pay at the College Lodge. s.geddes1@physics.ox.ac.uk t.weidberg1@physics.ox.ac.uk
