The temperature distribution in a prototype pixel barrel stave for 30% methanol in water coolant and for binary ice coolant. The flow rate in each case was about 13 cc/sec and the pressure drop was about 200 mbar. The temperatures are normalized to an inlet coolant temperature of -15 C.

The relative pulse height vs fluence(of minimum ionizing particles) for a short strip n-on-n detector operated at 180 Volts. The value before irradiation is plotted at 1E11.

Perspective drawing of the ATLAS Pixel Detector.

A 3D model of the ATLAS pixel detector showing cabling and cooling pipes.

A prototype thermostructure for support and cooling of the pixel disk modules. Silicon and kapton heaters are shown glued to the structure to simulate the expected heat load.
